The woman’s missions movement at KBC is spearheaded by our WMU. It stands for Women's Missionary Union. The Kennebec WMU has two groups:
First is the Young Women on Mission, which meets the second Tuesday night of each month at 7 p.m. It is designed to provide working mothers and young women the opportunity to engage in Christian fellowship and missions work. WMU provides a variety of mission support such as raising money for home and foreign missions as well as helping with state and local projects. The WMU actively does Christmas missions as well.
Second is the regular WMU meetings are held on the second Tuesday at 11 a.m. This meeting, of our more ‘mature’ ladies, focuses on local, national, and international mission opportunities and also includes ample time for food, fellowship & fun.
Check out the WMU website for more information on the organization. Email us or call us if you are interested in becoming a part of a WMU group.
Women's Small Group ministry has Bible studies offered regularly. Currently, there is a study that meets Tuesdays at 10 am, Wednesday Night 7 pm, and Thursday Night 7 pm.
What is the third-largest relief organization? The Baptist Men.
The purpose of Baptist men is to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We participate in monthly mission projects and also provide help during disasters by doing disaster relief and recovery. Our Baptist Men are actively involved in helping repair and restore homes, reach out to neighbors in need, and fulfill the mission of Christ in a visible way in our community.
All men are welcomed and encouraged to attend. Meetings are on the first Sunday of every month at 7 a.m. in the fellowship hall.
Checkout the Baptists on Mission website for more information.
Also, a Men's small group meets every Sunday morning at 7 am for a Bible study.
