What We Believe

Kennebec is an autonomous body of believing Baptist which has aligned itself with the Southern Baptist Convention, the North Carolina Baptist State Convention, and the Little River Association. We believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God and that it is true in all that it teaches. We ascribe to the Baptist Faith and Message of 2000. In a nutshell, we believe in God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth. We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son. We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a pure and sinless life, and died on a cross to pay for our sins. We believe that you must have a personal, life-changing encounter with Jesus by asking for forgiveness and committing your life to Christ in order to get to heaven. We also believe that God is still present with us through the power and presence of His Holy Spirit.

Kennebec Baptist Church exists to know Christ and make Him known to all. We believe that Jesus died for all people and that all people need to place their faith in Him. It is our desire to take the message of salvation to a lost and dying world.
